Before the contacts I had glasses, but they made me look like a dork so I didn't wear them. I just stuck with being half-blind for the sake of my rep and "okay" looks. I wanted to see, but I didn't like the glasses, so I was stuck in the middle. Half-happy, half-frustrated. I decided that contacts would be a good switch and so I tried 'em. I was right, I really like them and I can see! It's like being dropped head-first into a whole new world that you've lived in all your life.
I think that when looking for a church people go the same one their parents liked. But then they get older and their parent's church is no longer cool, so the just stop going. They'd rather be away from God than in a church that makes them feel lame. But when they decide to look for a better church, one that fits their style and personality, then they realize what they were missing.
Please leave a comment, telling me another thing you can illustrate with the contacts illustration. Or maybe you'd just like to say how this blog has affected you and your walk with God. Either way, I'd love to hear from you.
