SBC!

Hey, new at this, hope I post often, can't promise anything. Haha!

But any-hoo.....
I went to Spring Break camp on Sunday, came back yesterday, home isn't near as fun a goofing off with tons of people. I like to camp sometimes, but not often. However I felt that this camp would do me good, and it did! I spoke in tongues, I received words from the Lord, and I got to know my Savior better by trying to imagine (based on the facts) the pain that my Savior bore for my sake. Needless to say it was a spiritual high!
Coming home though, we tried to express the same passion that we felt at camp, but it didn't happen. I prophesied this on the last night that we had a service there (tuesday):
"I am in the sound booth, the band is playing, as they have been for the past three nights. There are tons of people lost in the spirit! I wish I could describe the awesome atmosphere, but mere words don't cut it. I am happy with the current hype in our worship, but I know that it probably won't last. It'll be another camp out many that has short-lived outcomes. Within a few weeks we'll forget what it felt like and we'll sink back into our everyday slum.
No memories... No lasting impressions... No continuation of the awesome worship experience...

...unless we choose to change that."

I was right, sadly. We had about a minute or two of intense worship last night, but then it all fell apart... just like old times...
Mrs. McGuffin (sp?) got up to the microphone and gave us a word from the Lord. God said we need to change, to become pure, to cast aside the burdens the world lays upon us, to meet God's standard for life.
"...unless we choose to change..." we had to change in order to get anywhere in our worship. At camp, we are shut off from the world around us. Nothing matters but God. When we got home, we landed face-first into a world we didn't want to to embrace. But it got hold of us. Don't let the word of God be words, but commands! Live as God says, meet the standard, don't back down! I'll be by your side, running the same race, reaching for the same goal, praying for you and myself. You're not alone, you have God to help you reach his standard.

Wow, there it is. What began as a beginner's blog became a call, a reminder of words that God has said a thousand times over. "It's time!" God said, over and over, in his words through Mrs. McGuffin.

"It's time!"
